We have maintained a record of seabirds seen on all pelagic trips to date, and as part of this all sightings are entered into a database. We also submit reports on all unusual/rare birds seen to the Ornithological Society of New Zealand Rare Birds Committee for verification. Pelagic trips out of Houhora and Three Kings - heading north on a stay aboard trip

1-4 April 2010 - a four-day live aboard pelagic from Houhora to the Three Kings Islands (65 km north of NZ). This will be the fourth trip we have organised, following on from the success of the first in early April 2007 (see the trip report here) and trip reports of the subsequent two here. Pelagic trips out of the Chatham Islands - both pelagics are part of a confirmed post-NZ extension, the only thing that will stop these trips is weather!

15 December 2010	FULL day pelagic out of Owenga, out to and cruising past the Star Keys, South East (Rangatira), Pyramid, Mangere & Little Mangere Islands as well as chumming at various locations along the way. Don't miss out on this pelagic which is rarely available. We expect to see Northern Royal, Chatham, and Pacific (Buller's) albatross, Southern and Northern giant petrel, common diving petrel, sooty shearwater, hopefully fulmar and broad-billed prion, white-faced and possibly grey-backed storm-petrel, brown skua, and will be patrolling the islands for shore plover, Forbe's parakeet, and black robin. 17 December 2010	HALF-DAY pelagic, weather dependent, but hopefully heading again down off the south-west coast to spend time in the late afternoon looking for Pterodroma petrels. Anything is possible, but Chatham petrel and of course Taiko are our highly unlikely 'target' species.	NZ$300 per person
