Southern (Antarctic) fulmar
28/08/06 Southern (Antarctic) fulmar, Fulmarus glacialoides, 'flock' at Kaikoura Whilst doing an Oceanwings pelagic out of Kaikoura we came across a 'flock' of Southern fulmars. Normally only seen at this location singly, the group of 24 was quite an extraordinary find. Below are a couple of images of singles taken that day. |
